We start with your part drawing or CAD file. Our engineers review wall thickness, draft, gate locations, and parting lines so the mold is set up to run cleanly from the first shot.
The full mold is designed in CAD, including cavity, core, ejection, cooling, and runner system. You get a chance to review and approve the design before any steel is cut.
Our machine shop cuts the mold using CNC milling, turning, and EDM machining. Hardened steel, pre-hardened steel, and aluminum are all options, picked to match the run length and complexity of your part.
Components are fit, polished, and assembled by hand. Surface finish is dialed in for cosmetic parts, and shut-offs and slides are checked for clean action.
The finished mold runs through a trial on our presses. We sample, inspect, and adjust as needed before the mold is signed off and put into production.
